While walking over the bridges through the wilderness you are sure to stumble upon various members of the wildlife.
Sunset Boardwalk
Enter the boardwalk from Crane Road near the Bird Center and walk along the shoreline. At the entrance, be sure to look up and observe the often “active” osprey nest. You will see the Golden Orb spider and a variety of red, white and black mangroves.
Hammock Loop
Learn to identify trees you will see in the hammock before continuing on the trails.
Butterfly Meadow
Fragrant flowers and plants specific to attracting butterflies live here. Giant Swallowtails, Zebra Longwings, Orange-Barred Sulphurs and Gulf Fritillaries are among the various butterflies that love this garden.
The Point
A breath-taking view of the Florida Bay lies beyond the point. Sit for a while and enjoy the solitude and scenery.
